A new legal framework is being designed regarding social media regulations. Among the most important obligations that could be imposed on platforms are making user age verification mechanisms mandatory. Additionally, a complete ban on social network access for children under 15 is being considered. Within a more comprehensive protection framework, biometric identity verification systems are planned to be implemented to allow under-18 youth to access social media and virtual betting platforms. Such regulations indicate that a similar approach to the KYC (customer identification and age control standards already applied in cryptocurrency exchanges and Web3 platforms is extending into the social media domain.

Web3 has been played like this for a long time. Now social media also needs to keep up; KYC is gradually becoming standard.
