Tonight at 11 PM, the US will release the PCE data.
Last time it was 2.9%, and this time the market expectation is still 2.9%. If it really holds steady, that's actually pretty good—it at least shows that inflation hasn’t continued to heat up, so the Fed won't be too nervous, and overall sentiment shouldn’t collapse.
For our industry, this kind of “in line with expectations” result is usually neutral to slightly positive. It won’t cause a massive sell-off in risk assets, and both BTC and ETH still have room to grind upward.
But be cautious: if the data comes out higher than expected and there are signs of an inflation rebound, the market will most likely panic in the short term, leading to a quick pullback.
As for this ETH swing trading opportunity, I’m still following along!

Wait, is the PCE about to stir things up again? I'm betting it'll still meet expectations; otherwise, the rebound from the past few days would be for nothing.

If it meets expectations, it's stable; if high inflation jumps out, it's game over—simple and straightforward.

If it meets expectations, it stays steady; if it misses expectations, it dumps. Same old pattern.

Meeting expectations is the most comfortable; otherwise, we'll get criticized again.
