In the second quarter of 2025, the issuance of USD₮ exceeded 13.4 billion USD, bringing its circulating supply to over 157 billion USD (an increase of 20 billion USD year-to-date), with a net profit of approximately 4.9 billion USD for the quarter. As of the end of the second quarter of 2025, Tether’s total holdings of US Treasuries (including 105.5 billion USD held directly and 21.3 billion USD held indirectly) exceeded 127 billion USD (an increase of approximately 8 billion USD compared to the first quarter of 2025), making it one of the largest holders of US Treasuries in the world.
