Alpha points will become an important standard for evaluating user activity and ecological rights, providing platform users with a more transparent and valuable participation pathway.
What is Alpha Points?
Alpha Points is a new activity assessment standard launched by Gate Alpha. The points are generated based on users’ comprehensive behavior on the Gate platform and within the Alpha ecosystem, mainly including asset balance, buying behavior, and participation in special activities. Each user’s points will be accumulated based on the daily points over the past 15 days; the higher the points, the richer the types and amounts of Alpha activities they can participate in the future.
Core uses include:
- Obtaining eligibility for Alpha token airdrops
- Participating in TGE new token subscriptions
- Joining limited-time exclusive activities
- Unlocking more platform benefits
How to Earn Points?
Alpha points consist of three main dimensions: balance points, trading volume points, and special activity points.
- Balance Points
Users holding compliant assets on the Gate centralized exchange will generate corresponding points based on their daily market value (converted to USD), including trading assets in the Alpha account. It should be noted that tokens that are not yet listed on the Gate spot market are not included in the statistical scope. - Trading Volume Points
Only purchases in the Alpha selected area are counted:
- For the first purchase amount ≥ 2 USDT per day, you can earn 1 point;
- For every doubling of the amount (such as 4 USDT, 8 USDT, etc.), you can earn an additional 1 point;
- Sell transactions and internal market data are not counted.
For example: If you purchase 8 USDT in a single day, you can accumulate 3 points.
- Special Points
The platform will periodically launch special point activities, and users can earn extra points by trading specific tokens during designated events. Please pay attention to official announcements for details.
Points Update and Timing Mechanism
The system will take a snapshot of user assets and transactions daily at 07:59:59 (UTC+8) and complete the points update before 14:00 on the same day, with points displayed as the total points over the past 15 days.
For example: A transaction completed at 07:58 on July 29 will count towards the July 28 period; while a transaction at 08:01 will count towards the July 29 points.
How to check your points?
Alpha points can currently be viewed and airdropped through Gate App version 7.14.0 and above. The ways to check include:
- Click on 【Alpha Points】 in the App sidebar
- Entrance at the top right corner of the App order panel
- Search for 【Alpha Points】 on the App homepage
Users can view their total points, daily score records, and various details in real-time.
How are airdrop rewards distributed?
Users can use the accumulated Alpha points to redeem for participation in airdrop events. Each round of airdrop requires users to manually claim within a specified time; otherwise, it will be considered forfeited. After successfully claiming, the rewards will be distributed to the user’s Alpha account within 1 hour.
