Crypto World News reports, quoting Coin Bureau, that major technology companies’ cloud computing revenue was strong in the first quarter of 2026: Google Cloud grew 63% year over year, reaching $20 billion for the first time; Microsoft Azure increased 40%; AWS grew 28%, the fastest growth rate in 15 quarters; and Meta grew 33%, with revenue reaching $56.3 billion. At the same time, Microsoft’s AI business achieved annualized revenue of $37 billion, up 123% year over year. Google Cloud’s order backlog reached $460 billion. Meanwhile, OpenAI reportedly failed to meet internal targets for the first quarter. The infrastructure layer performed strongly, while the application layer faced pressure.
