A: Gate's GUSD is a dedicated yield-bearing token for our RWA investment products. When you subscribe using USDT or USDC, you are essentially "minting" GUSD, representing your share of the investment backed by real-world assets such as U.S. Treasuries. It serves as both the "key" and "proof" for earning stable returns on the Gate platform, with its value always pegged to 1 USDT/USDC.

Q3: Is participating in GUSD minting considered "staking"? Is it the same as on-chain staking?

A: No, this is not traditional on-chain staking.

• Staking: Your assets are typically locked in a smart contract to help secure a network or provide liquidity. Rewards come from inflation or transaction fees and carry risks like smart-contract vulnerabilities and impermanent loss.
• Minting GUSD: This is a conversion process. You convert your stablecoins (USDT/USDC) into a yield certificate (GUSD) backed by RWA. The funding is ultimately tied to physical assets, so the risk profile is completely different.

Q4: How can I be sure that my GUSD is actually backed by U.S. Treasuries?

A: Transparency and trust are the foundation of Gate. We commit to providing clear reserve audit reports and proof of funds from our partner custodial banks on the product page. This means you can verify that every issued GUSD is fully backed by real-world assets, ensuring 100% reserves. The process is fully transparent and open to public scrutiny.

Q5: Will the yield of GUSD fluctuate like Simple Earn?

A: No. This is precisely the core advantage of GUSD. Unlike Simple Earn, where funds are used for on-platform crypto lending and rates are fully driven by crypto market conditions, GUSD's yield is pegged to U.S. Treasury rates. Changes in U.S. Treasury yields are gradual and predictable, usually adjusted on a monthly basis, without drastic intraday fluctuations, providing you with extremely stable cash flow.

A: Gate offers two redemption options with different fees:

• Fast redemption: 0.1% fee, fast processing (usually credited within 10 minutes). Suitable for urgent liquidity needs.
• Standard redemption: 0.05% fee, processed within T+3 days. Suitable for users who are not in a hurry and want to save costs.

• Minting: Both USDT and USDC are supported for minting.
• Redemption: GUSD can be redeemed 1:1 for USDT/USDC. After redemption, you can easily swap your USDT/USDC for any other token on Gate.

Q8: Is there a purchase limit for this product?

A: Yes. To ensure fairness for all users, there is currently a cap in place. Individual accounts can mint up to the equivalent of 30 million USDT/USDC in GUSD, while institutional accounts have a higher limit of 30 million USDT/USDC.

Q9: Will GUSD earn minting rewards if invested elsewhere or obtained through other methods?

1. All GUSD holdings — whether in Spot or Earn accounts (excluding Simple Earn) — are eligible for minting rewards. If your GUSD is invested in other products (e.g., Launchpool), you will earn both the product returns and minting rewards simultaneously.
2. GUSD acquired through spot trading, deposits, lending, or other channels will also receive minting rewards. All holdings participate in daily reward distribution.
