Alpha Points are a comprehensive metric reflecting user activity, dynamically generated based on user behavior data on the Gate platform and in the Alpha section. The calculation period is the last 15 days, with the total points being the cumulative sum of points generated each calendar day.
The main uses of the points include:
- Participating in TGE token subscriptions launched by Gate Alpha;
- Receiving airdrop rewards for quality new tokens;
- Unlocking exclusive qualifications or priority quotas in ecological activities;
- Serving as a ranking basis in some activities, determining the order of reward distribution.
Specific Calculation Method for Points
- Balance Points
The platform will calculate points based on the qualified assets held by users in centralized exchanges (including Alpha sub-accounts) daily, converting them into USD at market value. Qualified assets include all tokens listed on the Gate spot market; unlisted tokens and non-Alpha sector assets are not included in the statistics.
Every day at 07:59:59 (UTC+8), the system will take a snapshot of the positions and generate points. - Trading Volume Points
Trading in the Alpha sector will become an important way to earn points, especially for buying operations:
The first purchase amount of the day ≥ 2 USDT will earn 1 point;
For each doubling of the purchase amount (4, 8, 16 USDT…), an additional 1 point will be earned. - Special Bonus Items
The platform will also periodically launch activities such as trading specific tokens for bonus points, time-limited tasks, etc. For example, buying a certain token may earn double points or completing trading tasks may come with point packages, with specifics subject to each announcement.
Snapshot and Update Mechanism
- The daily snapshot time is 07:59:59 (UTC+8), covering balance and transaction data;
- The system completes point updates before 14:00 on the same day (UTC+8), displaying the accumulated points for the past 15 days;
- Time point explanation: If you complete a purchase before 07:59:59 on April 23, that transaction will count towards the points for April 22; if after 08:00:00, it will count towards the April 23 cycle.
How to Check Alpha Points?
Currently, only Gate App version 7.14.0 and above supports checking points and claiming airdrops. The checking methods are as follows:
- Open Gate App → Sidebar → Click on 【Alpha Points】;
- Click on 【Alpha Points】 in the upper right corner of the order interface;
- Enter "Alpha Points" in the homepage search bar and go to the results page.
The points details include balance points, trading volume points, and activity bonus points, making it easy for users to track the sources of their scores in real-time.
How to Claim Airdrop Rewards?
Users can consume a certain amount of Alpha points to exchange for airdrop rights. Each round of airdrop activities must be actively claimed within the specified time; failure to claim within the deadline will be regarded as a forfeiture of eligibility. After a successful claim, the airdrop will be distributed to the Alpha account within 1 hour. The platform will continue to launch more point redemption gameplay, including NFTs, governance rights, special badges, etc., to enhance the fun and incentive value of user participation.
