Here are some recent developments worth noting:

Base has made a big move—they officially launched the Base-Solana cross-chain bridge. This means asset transfers between the two chains will be smoother, which is a positive for ecosystem interoperability.

Aave made a practical decision: they shut down several L2 deployments that weren’t performing well in terms of revenue. With limited resources, cutting unprofitable positions to focus efforts elsewhere makes sense.

The most explosive news comes from Uniswap—the cumulative trading volume has officially surpassed $4 trillion! This number is a major milestone in the entire history of DeFi, clearly demonstrating the dominance of this leading DEX.

Rainbow also announced an update on governance: the foundation will hold 20% equity. This kind of transparent equity structure disclosure is a positive sign for the project’s long-term development.

It’s been a lively week for Web3 infrastructure and the DeFi sector.

Has Uni surpassed 4 trillion? I just want to know how much of that is generated by bots, haha. Base and Sol partnering up is a good thing, but I'm worried it might just be a new trick by some whales to fleece retail investors. Aave cutting off L2 was definitely decisive, but I'll bet five bucks they'll have to add it back later. Rainbow's 20% transparency is indeed impressive—so much better than some other projects. DeFi is lively this week. Is it because there's more money or is there really more demand? I've been pondering this question for a year and still haven't figured it out.

4 trillion? Uni is definitely tough, but I’m really curious how much of that trading volume is wash trading. The Base-Sol bridge is here, another entry point for cross-chain capital… The money really never stops flowing. Aave cutting L2s—full marks for that move. Why keep unprofitable projects? Clearing out and starting over is much simpler. Rainbow making equity transparent? Sounds good, but what tricks can the foundation pull off with that 20% in their hands?

honestly base-solana bridge sounds nice on paper but let's see if it actually holds up under liquidation cascade pressure... uniswap hitting 4T is wild tho, that's the kinda on-chain signal that makes you paranoid you're missing alpha somewhere lmao

The cross-chain bridge launched with such force right away; Base and Sol are really playing a long game. Aave cut its losses very decisively this time, but they do need to focus on key areas. 4 trillion is really outrageous—does Uni really have that much dominance? Rainbow gets points for transparency, but is 20% enough? This week the infrastructure is definitely making moves.
