Today I received a book, and the author is that influencer I've been following for a while.

To be honest, I'm a bit shocked. I originally thought it was just an account that posts online, but I didn't expect that he could actually sit down to write a book and do research. This contrast suddenly made me realize how narrow my own perspective is—I focus on my own little matters every day and even find it exhausting to step out and take a look around.

I only got to know this guy in August, and thinking back now, I feel quite embarrassed. The crypto community is full of hidden talents, while I'm still stuck in the same place. Some people have long been working on deeper things, while I'm still skimming the surface.

This book served as a wake-up call for me: don't always live in your own little world.

I’ve also experienced similar shocks, realizing that the people I follow are not at all what they seem on the surface.

It should be pointed out that this kind of cognitive dissonance essentially stems from our overly fragmented processing of on-chain information. Look, a big KOL posting ≠ a complete intellectual framework—this was already proven back in the whitepaper era. Real deep work often happens quietly beneath the surface, while you and I are still scrolling through our feeds. --- Made me laugh—when I first met him in August, I should have noticed the signs. Those who are truly building have long been immersed in books and code. Our community looks restless on the surface, but there are hidden talents in the shadows. Feeling ashamed is useless—it’s time for action. --- Being able to sit down and write a book—that’s real courage to challenge one’s own beliefs. In contrast, we’re chatting away in group chats every day, too lazy for any deep thinking. This book is more than just a book; it pierces right through the pitiful boundaries of our own understanding. --- Based on the following argument: those who can publish a book have long since begun building their knowledge systems, while we’re still stuck in place. The crypto community has never lacked geniuses; what it lacks is the determination to embrace quiet focus. This contrast stings a bit. --- No doubt, you’re a bit late in this round of self-awareness upgrade, but at least you’re catching on. Stop spinning around in your little world—it’s time to go out and see what the people who are actually building are really like.

Honestly, I understand that feeling. Seeing those who are seriously building things makes me question why I spend every day shitposting.

Bro, that's the difference between us. They've been quietly making a fortune doing research, while we're still chasing airdrops and playing with compounding. We really need to reflect on this.

Damn, that contrast is really something. I thought they were just a posting machine, but turns out they've settled down to do in-depth research. Meanwhile, all of us spamming the feeds every day are just wasting time. This is what hits me the hardest. The crypto space is never short of hidden talents; what we really lack is moments of self-awakening like this. Seriously, seeing people like this can be pretty sobering. They're writing books while you're staring at charts—the gap really starts to widen from these small differences. I have to admit, I've been stuck in my comfort zone for too long. It's time to get out there. People like this always make me re-examine what I'm doing. The depth of their thinking is just on another level.
