Word from Washington: the White House is reportedly pushing European Union members hard to pump the brakes on their proposal to tap frozen Russian central bank reserves for Ukraine aid. The geopolitical chess match over these frozen assets continues to heat up, with transatlantic tensions bubbling under the surface. As governments wrangle over centralized asset control, it's yet another reminder why decentralized finance keeps gaining traction.

Yeah, it's the same old US-Europe showdown again. When it comes to freezing assets, it all boils down to who gets to call the shots. DeFi really is pretty appealing, isn't it... Compared to the economic arsenal of various governments, decentralization really does have its own charm. So what is the White House trying to block again these past three months? Seriously, enough already. So much Cold War mentality, and they still ask us how long it will take to break free from these centralized power plays.

It's the US stirring things up again, and the EU people are really timid.

Here we go again—the US is afraid the EU will move on Russia's frozen assets. This strategy is truly brilliant. Honestly, I never understood who actually calls the shots when it comes to centralized asset controls... This is exactly why DeFi matters. The US and EU are fighting each other, and it only makes it clearer for us: relying on on-chain solutions is the only real stability. Washington is making moves again, but players are already used to these old tricks. Who would have thought about asset freezes 10 years ago... Now it’s becoming more and more common.

This compromise signal from the White House looks like the technicals are about to break down. The MACD golden cross from this round of geopolitical games has already faded. Be wary of a head and shoulders pattern, everyone.

Damn, the US is giving the EU the cold shoulder again... This is the result of traditional finance players holding each other back.

The centralized system ultimately ends up being politically hijacked, which is why we need on-chain assets.
