Recently, I saw that some Japanese manga artists are already using a certain AI tool for creation.

The author’s workflow has become extremely simple—just draw a storyboard draft, give it to the AI with a command, and it can directly generate black-and-white original art that's close to publication quality. Even more impressive, the tool also supports colored version output, with various coloring styles to choose from.

Once this technology becomes widespread, creators around the world will be able to produce manga works at a low cost. The traditional Japanese manga industry chain may face significant challenges, as the barrier to entry for creation has been greatly lowered, and the market landscape might be reshuffled.

Damn, it's really happening this time. Are traditional comic artists going to lose their jobs? But honestly, can soulless AI drafts really compare to a master's touch? I have my doubts. If this wave truly becomes widespread, maybe small studios will actually have a chance to make a comeback.

Damn, this is really going to shake things up... Are traditional manga artists going to lose their jobs? Industrialization of manga was bound to happen sooner or later, but can the quality be maintained? Come to think of it, isn't this just another example of the democratization of creativity in Web3? Is Japanese manga doomed? I don't think so—those with real talent will survive. A low barrier to entry also means a flood of garbage works... It's the DAO era; sooner or later, even creation will be decentralized. Not afraid of AI, just worried that the people using AI have no taste.

The Japanese manga industry is about to be hit hard, but I think truly skilled manga artists will still be able to survive... Just because AI can draw line art doesn't mean it can tell stories, everyone. These are two different things. Wait a minute, does this mean I could publish my own manga in the future too? Haha, just thinking about it is exciting. About this industry reshuffle... Low costs and explosive output, but with uneven quality. Are small workshop mangas about to take over?

Art has been democratized, craftsmen are going to lose their jobs, and now that there are more players, the competition will be even fiercer.

Drafts are fed to AI to generate finished work directly—doesn't this just turn manga artists into clients? If AI gets this advanced, the traditional manga assistant industry might really disappear. At the end of the day, it's about lowering the barrier to entry, but can the quality of the work really be guaranteed? I still have some doubts about that. The Japanese manga industry chain is about to undergo a major shake-up; it feels like it's only a matter of time. If this technology really becomes widespread, independent creators might actually become more valuable, while those with teams could end up sidelined.

Speaking of AI, it's really here now, and the comic industry is in for a shake-up. With AI-generated drafts being so competitive, aren't people like Masashi Kishimoto getting nervous? Just throw a rough sketch to AI and get a finished piece? Damn, the barrier to entry has really been flattened. Isn't the Japanese manga industry about to be caught off guard? Low cost and high output, even small-town test-takers can draw manga now? That's kind of interesting. Now Web3 creators are going to be ecstatic—one more reason to cash in. With AI coloring options everywhere, what's left of the value of hand-drawing? I just want to ask those creators who claim to be "threatened by AI"—you've monopolized the industry for so many years and only now think of innovating? Can AI consistently produce serial-quality drafts? Maybe those assistant manga artists are the ones who should really be worried.
