Objective
This guide will walk you through how to change your nickname and avatar on Gate Web.
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Profile Settings
Log in to Gate Web and click on your avatar icon in the top right corner. Select Profile Settings or User Center from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Update Your Avatar
In the Profile Settings page, locate your current avatar. Click the Edit or Camera icon to upload a new image. You can choose an image file from your computer or select an NFT as your avatar.
Step 3: Modify Your Nickname
Find the Nickname field in your profile settings. Click Edit, enter your new nickname, and click Confirm or Save to apply the changes.
Notes
Nickname Requirements:
- You can only change your nickname once within 24 hours
- Maximum length is 12 Chinese characters or 24 alphanumeric characters
- Special characters are not supported
- Do not use your real name or contact information to protect your privacy
- Nickname must comply with local laws and regulations
Avatar Requirements:
- Only JPG, PNG, and GIF formats are supported
- Do not use selfies or other real images to protect your privacy
- Avatar must comply with local laws and regulations
- Gate may modify, mute, or block accounts that violate these rules
