Omdia: The number of global 5G fixed wireless access users is expected to double to 150 million by 2030.

Jin10 data reported on October 30 that Omdia released a report indicating that the number of global 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) users is expected to double by 2030. The research pointed out that driven by major markets such as India and the United States, FWA is showing strong development momentum and becoming the fastest-growing broadband access technology. Omdia predicts that the number of global FWA users will rise from 71 million in 2024 to 150 million in 2030, at which time 5G FWA will account for 88% of all FWA connections. The 5G FWA market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23%, driving total FWA service revenue to reach $46 billion by 2030, with high-end 5G services occupying a larger share of the market.
